Director
Directors are responsible for leading and managing PowerAdvocate's service delivery teams, developing and leading the execution of supply chain strategies for engineered products and services. Directors act as the primary interface with client's project manager / leader, reporting to the Managing Director responsible for the overall client relationship. Directors also develop new and additional business opportunities.
Ideal candidates for Director will have an MBA with a science or engineering undergraduate degree and 6+ years industry experience, particularly in Power Generation, Transmission, Petrochemicals, or related fields. Other desirable qualifications include excellent client management skills, a strong ability to build and lead a cohesive and dynamic team, exceptional analytic, problem-solving, and time management skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experience should include leadership, management consulting, strategic sourcing, engineering and/or construction and integration and change management in evolving business climates.
Manager
Managers work as a key member of the service delivery teams, assisting with the development and execution of supply chain strategies for sourcing highly engineered products and services, coordinating with client buying and engineering personnel to design solutions that maximize value for clients, collecting and analyzing client spend data and industry market data, using the PowerAdvocate sourcing platform to interact with preferred suppliers and to foster competitive bids, and assisting with sales and marketing efforts and technology upgrades.
Ideal candidates for Manager will have a science or engineering undergraduate degree, mechanical or electrical engineering experience, and 2-4 years of industry experience, particularly in the Power Generation or Transmission fields. Candidate will also possess exceptional analytical, problem solving and time management skills as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Associate
Associates work as a key team member for client service delivery, assisting with the development and execution of supply chain strategies for highly engineered products and services, collecting and analyzing client spend and industry market data, and using the PowerAdvocate sourcing platform to interact with preferred suppliers and foster competitive bids.
Ideal candidates for the Associate position will have an undergraduate degree in science, engineering, math, finance or economics, with 0-2 years of industry or engineering experience, particularly in the Power Generation or Transmission fields. Associates will also have exceptional analytical, problem solving and time management skills and possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Business Analyst
The Business Analyst is a dedicated, team-oriented individual who facilitates the needs of the business by documenting requests and designing modifications to existing functionality as well as new functionality for PowerAdvocate's web-based software platform, which is used internally by other PowerAdvocate employees and externally by clients and suppliers.
Responsibilities include defining project scope, gathering requirements and specifying use cases; facilitating meetings with project stakeholders regarding design and functionality; working with the technology team to design the most robust technical solution to meet the business needs; creating wireframes and interaction design, focusing on usability; authoring technical specifications, including the system request, business logic, and UI; maintaining site documentation, including as-built specifications, help system, and training materials; assisting in QA testing by validating the implementation meets the specification and running test scripts; and occassionally conducting user trainings.
The ideal Business Analyst candidate will have a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology-related field. Candidate will also have a minimum of two years experience as a business or systems analyst and be familiar with SQL and Oracle or other relational databases. Candidate must have demonstrated and excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical skills. Must be goal-oriented and results-driven, as well as capable of managing multiple projects. Experience in web-based product development preferred but not required.
Software Developer
The Software Developer is responsible for the development of new software products using Java/J2EE technology in a BEA Weblogic environment. The selected candidate will be a hands-on participant in all parts of the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis, to design, programming, implementation and release.
Qualified applicants must have strong J2EE development skills with a BS/MS in computer science or a related field and a minimum of two years of experience in J2EE technologies including EJBs, Servlets, MVC/Struts and JSP. Must have specific development experience with front-end, middle-tier and back-end components. Must have experience developing on a Weblogic platform as well as Relational Database experience, preferably with Oracle. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work and meet schedule commitments and deadlines in a dynamic, fast pasted, and team-oriented development environment.
Other desired qualifications include experience with commercial software development, enterprise software integration, webservices, and Power or Utility industry experience. Ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of change control management, software development cycles and design methodologies.

Product Manager
Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development, we are looking for an experienced product management/marketing professional to serve as Product Manager. In this role, s/he will be a champion of the customer’s online experience by leading the definition, design, development and implementation of core site functionalities and content offerings that maximize revenue, improve customer satisfaction and enhance the value of the PowerAdvocate brand.
The candidate will work closely and assume a leadership role across operations, technology, client management and sales to support new business and product development. PowerAdvocate is a leader in providing specialized technology, services and information to the Energy Industry.
Key responsibilities include:
Working closely with the Product team to identify gaps in core product functionality and content offerings as well as to assign priority to key product areas for development.
Driving product definitions which translate and balance business needs, customer needs and technological capabilities into site features and enhancements .
Leading cross-functional teams, serving as product and project manager, to define product specifications, establish milestones, and manage the development, implementation and marketing launch against product goals.
Communicating product status, key issues and launch plans to key constituents across the PowerAdvocate organization including senior management as well as business analysts, sales, marketing, and the software development team.
Measuring product performance and identification of key levels of improvement - including design and analysis of relevant reports.
Monitoring the competitive landscape, identifying and leading relevant market, site and consumer research needs.
Minimum 6 relevant years experience including at least 2+ years experience in product management at a leading e-commerce company.
Demonstrated consumer mind-set with preference for candidates from e-commerce/B2C.
Specific experience in successfully developing and managing new product launches including a proven ability to champion products and drive to key decisions.
Experienced business judgment, BS/BA required, MBA preferred.
Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization.
Highly detail-oriented and analytic skills absolutely required.
Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor preferred.
